Site settings

Choose how each site looks.

Choose site by site

Allow access to a site, then choose Original or Dark. Nightfall remembers your choice for the next visit.

Adjust images and elements

Dim bright images. Use the element picker to darken individual elements the theme missed.

Switch with a shortcut

The default shortcut toggles Nightfall on a site you’ve allowed: Ctrl + Shift + D, or + Shift + D on Mac.

Privacy

Dark mode runs
on your device.

Nightfall has no advertising or analytics. Site preferences and saved element fixes stay in your browser’s local extension storage.

Optional AI mode uses your own OpenRouter key to generate a color palette. When you choose to generate one, Nightfall sends a summary of page styles to OpenRouter and a model provider. The summary excludes page text, page URLs, and form values.
